The house was alright for the most part. She didn’t really know many people & she didn’t know if she should just put herself out there or if she should just stay a hermit crab, hiding away in her room. Whatever. She knew she really shouldn’t do that. Everyone here was so nice & open for the most part. They were all welcoming & nice to her so she should return the favor & be nice to them, hang out with them, get to know them. After all, they could be stuck like this forever. She truly wouldn’t mind being invisible, but she knew everyone else would be happy if they got to be visible again. She drank her lemonade as she looked around the room, it felt weird not seeing school pictures on the wall or awards or anything. It felt so unusual to her for some reason. Overall though, the house was fantastic. Everyone was nice overall & she could get used to it very quickly.
It was refreshing to have a drink, especially having a few with Dakota. Dakota seemed to be a sweet person. One of those people that have such good hearts that you hate them for being so nice. She was also pretty also, which was the best. A pretty face could be ruined by a pretty heart, but Dakota seemed to be a good person all together, & it was nice to know there were more people in the world like that. The people in the house were a lot like that, but Dakota was different. “I’m just great, how are you lovely?” She smiled, refilling her drink before offering one to Dakota.
“I am wonderful. And I’ll be even better once you pass me that drink,” Dakota said with a smirk. She took the drink from the other girl, downing some of the contents quickly. She had plans of getting her mind of everything. Something was irking her at the back of her head. She knew that alcohol wasn’t the answer and wasn’t going to solve every problem she had. In fact, it could make things worse, but she had a feeling that she had enough self control to make sure it didn’t get to that point. For right now, the alcohol and the pretty girl on the couch next to her would serve as the distraction she needed. Plus, she could always use a few more friends.
Settling into the couch, Dakota kicked her feet up underneath her. She sipped on her drink a little more, almost craving the intoxication that was to come. “Alright, beautiful. Wait, first things first, let me know if that makes you uncomfortable. Secondly, tell me more about yourself,” she said with a slightly flirty smile. She couldn’t help herself. It came naturally to the blonde. She was just thankful that most people didn’t mind too much. It was even better when they played along.
